the line of poetry I began with was from Tomas Transtroemer poem "The Couple" - The line is "They turn out the lamplight, and it's white globe"
They turn out the lamplight,
and it's white globe
The down blanket makes its nightly racket
while they try to settle themselves
in the dark without a word.
Her hand moves under the blanket
to the small of his back
and waits there
tuned to the right frequency
He moves himself closer
to her hand, and turns to face her.
He kisses her forehead
moves her closer to him
and falls asleep with her.
